This is very useful for lifting hot grill racks. I use a smoker box in mine and it needs to be under the rack to heat quickly enough. Occasionally I need to refill it too. The tool will do this nicely.I wish this was a bit longer. My hand will still be about 4" away from the rack and a glove is a must.The seller mentions kitchen uses, but I can't see it. It's a rack lifter, and that is not done very often on/in the stove.Like they say, it IS also a bottle opener, which is handy when you're grilling.
