Stainless basin was not used for cat litter box, but made a perfect basin for use with a larger display aquarium to hold filter and items underneath in the storage cabinet.. no worry for rusting, nice quality.

This is a great litter box. It is very large and very sturdy. The metal material makes washing or wiping the sides clean super easy. It is a deep design that seems to be a great help with keeping litter from being kicked out. It is sturdy and can’t be tipped over easily. It can also be used as a water container for animals that prefer to eliminate in a water source. I’m impressed with the quality and have been using it daily.

Stainless Steel Cat Litter Box for Adult Cats or Kitty/Kitten 18"x14"x6" Rust-Proof, High Side, Non Stick, No Smell, Easy to Clean Metal Cat Litter BoxI’ve just recently switched to stainless steel litter boxes for my 11 indoor/outdoor cats. When the weather is extremely cold or hot, I have 3-tier cat cages for them to stay inside. I have been using the traditional plastic pans and once in a while, some of my heavier cats would almost tip them over. But this stainless steel litter box is quite solid and does not get tipped over. Additionally, I have noticed a bit less litter tracking inside the cage and a bit less thrown out of the cage as well.I feel like a stainless steel litter box is an investment. I’ve had cats my whole life and I always will. The plastic ones eventually crack and break, and because the claws scratch the plastic, I know that bacteria can grow in those micro scratches and not be easy to completely eradicate. Sometimes it makes for a stink that cannot be eliminated. The stainless steel is so much easier to clean, plus, it’s like your cooking pots–you can see when it’s completely clean. This litter box came with some very cute puff cat-paw stickers to be used as floor protectors. I have not used them as I have it in a cat cage. But, it is good to be aware that the litter, if it gets underneath the litter box and you move it around, it could act like chalk on your floor. So I think that’s why they include these pads.I’m very pleased with the quality of this litter box and I am very certain it will last me a long time.

So it's common sense that cheap plastic litter boxes will absorb and hold odors, bacteria and sure don't look very good after a few monhts but we didn't realize stainless steel trays were available! Also if you think about the cats scratching them along with our metal litter "shovels" nothing good is going to happen in a plastic tray and why use more rubbish plastic period? This stainless tray is excellent qiality and a revelation! No problem for both of our cats and my older tuxedo girl who will come remind me if I miss scooping in the morning defintely seems happier with this tray. The pre-entry sniff around inspection is less and bypassed completely soemtimes now. Both cats in these trays obviosuly find it easier and faster to bury the busiiness and hop out which I care about since one has asthma and litter dust exposure is no good for cats. Ours had no qualms using these and so far all I see and find are pretty obvious pluses for the cats and us - WAY easier and more sanitary to clean out, no pee clumps stuck to the plastic or need scrape after scrape to dislodge waste. This is a no brainer for us and can only keep our furry family members cleaner and healthier. Should have been the first thing we got for them instead of more toys towers and grass.

Very sturdy, spacious, pristine, and deep. Something about stainless steel makes scooping up things so effortless.

We got this to go in a new cat litter setup for my large longhair kitty who needs lots of room to do her business and usually ends up in a litter tornado. She liked a Budda dome when they were a thing but even they were a bit small for her, so we are working on a bigger cabinet than the one she has now. We want it to look like furniture, so it's wooden and we're hoping that the stainless steel won't hold the smell and protect the cabinet. It is as large as advertised and feels sturdy, I'm quite pleased with the look of it. It came quickly and arrived in one piece, though God bless our delivery handlers because it was only wrapped in a plastic bag and shoved in a box without any other packaging. Something so easily bent needs a cardboard filler or packing peanuts or something to keep it protected in the shipping process. I hope to update once we have this installed.
