Work like any other washer, but I like in particular that it comes in a plastic storage box. I have a billion little bags of random sized hardware from our local store, but this is so much more convenient for storing and being able to find it again when needed.

What can I say about washers, I work with my hands I build things I used quarter 20 bolts for a whole ton of things. I build ham antennas out of aluminum tubing. I build barbecues out of 55 gallon drums. I built campfire enclosures for camping and I use this style of washer for a whole ton of things. These washers have been very very useful in everything I do with a 1/4 - 20 bolts and nuts. I would highly recommend these, and I would buy them again.

They are stainless steel washers. They distribute the load of the head of the bolt or the nut over a larger area thereby reducing the amount of stress on the bolted material. These particular washers are stainless, so they'll do all that while NOT oxidizing. WOW!
