This is accurate to the size described in the listing, but my brain apparently didn’t envision just how small that is. It’s closer to the size of a softball than the size of a normal gazing ball. Still, it’s a cool color and made it through shipping without any damage. very shiny. It’s small enough I might use it in an indoor planter.

I wouldn’t use this as a gazing ball outside as much as I would a piece of décor inside. The color is beautiful—it’s a true purple. Placed on a nice stand, it would look attractive on a shelf, mantle, etc.. It’s made of metal and basically unbreakable so it could likely stand sun and weather if you choose to place it outdoors. Any of my gazing balls I have in my yard are ten inches minimum. This one isn’t even six inches so it wouldn’t be readily seen. I thought it was bigger, but those were metric measurements. Take that into consideration before purchasing.
