I used this over my 2" wide 80-20 stock to mount stuff. It worked perfectly. I could see this being used on 2x4s also for whatever projects you might have in mind.

The clamps are well made, sometimes a little too well. I had 1 that was a little stuborn and had to use channel locs to open it up. great deal.
