Your cart is empty.The AXIS features a sleek and ergonomic 3-finger design, comfort leather wrist strap, and our patent pending off-center cam pin for adjustment. The AXIS is both fired and reset by depressing the thumb barrel. To reset the release simply pull the thumb trigger fully back and the release will reset due to the return spring in the hook and internal springs. The AXIS has three points of adjustment for trigger tension, trigger travel, and length from release to strap.

I own numerous Stan releases but this is the first Axis I have purchased. It is very comfortable and fits on my medium sized wrist perfectly! The price is perfect and I feel like Stan makes the best value for the money products. And the quality is amazing!

Release works great and has a crisp trigger. Like any thumb release just don’t want to adjust it too light or you’ll have issues. This release is very adjustable and well made.

DO NOT BUY THE STAN AXIS! I bought this release a year and a half ago, and it usually works fine...until it doesn't. Every so often, when drawing your bow back, it will release mid pull, resulting in you seriously punching yourself in the face. I was still healing from the last round a month or so ago (which I think is going to leave a permanent scar on my lip it was so bad), and now it just did it again today! I guess my safety as a result of their terrible product does not matter to them because I emailed Stan last time this happened, and they did not care enough to even respond. Yes, the tension is set correctly (set by the shop) and it works perfectly most of the time...just every so often it fails. Yes, I make sure to reset it between shots (I am totally anal about making sure I do this after several times punching myself in the face). At this point, I am developing a flinch because I spent over $200 on it, so I have really tried repeatedly to give it a chance.

For the price of this release, you would think the mfg. would put a strap of quality on it. Also, if you have a med- large hand your fingers are very cramped. Do not recommend this release.

By far my favorite release. Breaks clean and quiet. It is a little small so if you have bigger hands then it might not work for you. The wrist strap is a little cheap compared to others as well.
