Unfortunately this deflector did not deflect the heat from the electric Heatilator fireplace. Some of the heat does get deflected, but since the accessory extends only 4 inches, the heat rose around it and still heated the sound bar (which is 12 inches above the fireplace). Also the deflector bar gets very hot! The deflector bar has two separate pieces that extend the length. This was very cumbersome to fit together since each piece does not snap into place. Thus the sections kept falling apart. Bad design. Had to return.

We have TV hanging above the fireplace..Ordered the shield to prevent the heat from reaching the TV.. Success!!

This is a solid fireplace heat deflector and adjustable in width. A little tricky to install, but looks stylish.Would recommend this product… quality for a reasonable price.

Purchased this to mitigate heat to my television above the fireplace. I have non vented gas logs and they put out significant heat...Enough to heat the living room and spread to other rooms. It come in three pieces to expand to your exact fit, but it fits well and looks like one peice unless you are very close. It's attached to the masonry with brakets and I put additional screws at each end for more support. It kicks the heat out a bit instead of it going straight up to the mantel or television.

We made it work and are satisfied after much help from a professional. We discovered the brackets are much too flimsy for a lintel mount which is what it’s advertised for. We had to reinforce it with custom-made, thicker brackets. We are happy with the appearance of the product, but not with the extra time, effort and money it required

Needed to vent the heated air from the top of my gas fireplace and this was perfectVery easy to install and the finish is very smooth and attractive for inside use. Had delivery in just a day on Prime. More than satisfied especially since it was a more than a readonable price.

Fairly easy to install. I had to attach to masonry brick. Very happy that it match my black gas fireplace frame. It does help deflect some of the heat out into the room. However, there is still quite a bit of heat that rises upwards. Overall I am satisfied with this product.
