Seems to be a good part. Machining of the metal looked good. Gaskets for it were good. Better price than the typical parts stores.

Put it on my 89’ F150 4.9L 300 inline 6 about 3 weeks ago and so far it has been a great replacement to the original. Fixed a lot of the issues I was having and led me to realize I also had a vacuum leak in the system

It works, but the RPMs surge up and down for a while when first started. They eventuall settle to a stable rpm and it works ok until you star again the next day. Materials are very cheap, not a quality product.

I have a 1986 Ranger, 4 x 4, 5 spd. transmission , 2.3 Lt. engine, locking rear & front differential(s), (The biggest reason I keep it) I paid an ASE Certified shop to "Freshen up" the little engine- after the builder spent 10 hrs. removing & checking the clearance of the engine- it was beyond specification (and had leaded gas exhaust valve seats, new guides & seats required) to save me $$ they didn't check the fuel system (after dropping the labor rate to $100 from $150) - when I got the $4000.00 bill- I wasn't too upset -w/ $1000 machine shop charges, new steel crank, .030 oversize 9.5:1 pistons, I was sure it would last. WRONG!! I experienced severe blow-by (every ring was broken) upon checking WHY? I found that FAULTY FUEL DELIVERY CAN CAUSE HEAT BUILD-UP IN CYLINDERS, PISTONS (AND RINGS). I researched what connections were best and this was best, I checked the fuel pressure- it was low, both fuel pumps were not delivering the correct pressure to the injectors,They were also faulty due to being clogged from improper impedance -(This sends a signal to the PCM for injector operating) I changed the regulator ,(Solder & shrink tube) all ends of injector control wires - both the in tank and rail mounted pump. I installed 4 injectors. After breaking new "Moly" rings , I checked the injectors w/ the electrical impedance meter- Near Perfect!!, I give all this information to let anyone who may think about having your engine gone thru, if a single system is not within specification, it could cost much more $$ and time (I used to build my own engines, Harley, Small & Big block GMC's) disabled w/ sever RA it darn near crippled me to go thru this, BUT it is done right- This small but very important fuel injector controller plugs into the air box and it is "Top Notch" and no worries (DO CHECK THE ENDS of the plug-in for broken tabs that lock the control wire to the injector)
