Had code on my son's 04 Honda Accord and saw it was not a difficult task so I ordered this one. It has been 3 months now and working fine. I would add pics but it is on the bottom of the throttle body and not in a good place to take pics. Hope this helps.God Bless

Replaced an OEM idle air control valve that idled too high and hunted with this Standard Motor products IACV. The car idles lower but the idle still hunts and the engine bucks and hesitates when the throttle is partially cracked, like while coasting. Would not recommend purchasing this unless you are prepared to remove it again and try another part. Unfortunately OEM Honda parts ($$$$$) seem to be the way to go.

After buying two of the no name brand, half the price of this one, made in the same Chinese factory that were both Dead on arrival. I got this one and it worked great! Seriously bought two of the other cheaper ones sold on Amazon and they were both Dead on arrival. After the second one I thought maybe I did have a vacuum leak somewhere I just wasn't finding after searching for hours with no success I decide to buy this one and all issues fixed.

Replaced oem part. Looked the same, however it caused idle to race to 2500 and then down to 1000 constantly. I then thought it was the TPS so I replaced that too. Same thing happened. Finally I just cleaned the old own IAC and put it back on. Now runs good. Was just past 30 day window so not able to return. Junk.

This replaced the stuck IACV on my 2004 Honda Element (the symptoms were a surging idle that would never go down to normal). The new IACV seemed to be well made, and included the proper gasket that goes between the IACV and the throttle body. Things worked fine afterwards, the surging idle problem was fixed. To get everything apart and back together more easily, I wound up removing the entire throttle body with the old IACV still attached. If you do this, you should get a new throttle body gasket, too. On Amazon, they usually suggest this gasket as an additional purchase, if you buy the IACV.

Good product great price considering what Honda wants for it. The original was gunk'd up pretty bad with carbon replacing the part gave me the chance to thoroughly clean the throttle body which had a build up of carbon as well. So if your Honda is idling a bit rough like mine was this could be the fix it was for me. Saw on YouTube where you can replace it without taking off the throttle body but removing the TB is not that big a deal and it can be thoroughly cleaned that way.Just make sure to get a new TB gasket.PS Draining out a couple quarts of coolant from the radiator will less'n the amount of coolant loss during the replacement

Bought this because my wife's car started having a weird idle (RPM while cold was the typical high rev. but once warmed up, the RPM would regularly and very consistently fluctuate between 1500-2000 RPM). Some research online showed it was very likely either a vacuum leak or a busted IACV (this item). I did a quick check of the hoses and found nothing, so I watched some youtube videos for how to uninstall the old one and install the new one with minimal removal of other parts (the best are a series of 2-3 videos by a Chinese guy with a fairly thick accent. Don't let the accent discourage you, he's really good).I pulled my old IACV out, and man did a lot of coolant leak out. I knew before doing it that coolant would leak, but I didn't quite expect THIS much. I waited for it to stop flowing, popped out the old gasket (it's sitting in a rather deep recess), put in the new gasket, and screwed in the new IACV. I turned on the engine...and the RPM started bouncing after it warmed up again! But then I recalled I forgot to do the last step...reset the ECU. So I unplugged the battery for about 5 minutes, plugged it back in, started the car up, and tada, works just fine. Idle is now soooooooooo smooth. It's only been one week, but so far so good. If anything happens I'll be sure to update!
