This is not a simple replacement part but was well worth the time and effort to replace it. The ECM recognizes this part and A/C unit is working as new.

My 2012 Fusion was showing evap temp at 36°F when the ambient temp was 80°+. I decided to try this one instead of Ford to save a few bucks and also because the failed unit was a Ford replacement. It took about 1.5hrs to replace and was showing accurate temp I would say within a degree or two. My air now blows around 40° at idle with ambient temp around 75°. I know people said this failed, but I have had good luck with the brand in the past. I honestly think it's just a poor design and any will fail after time. I would save $10 or so and go with this over Ford.

Worked great for 2 months, then quit. As you probably know, these are not easy to replace. Most of the dash has to come out to get to it. It worked fine for 2 months and now is reading 338 degrees for evap temp, like its shorted to ground. Just out of the return period, so looks like Ill be going to ford for a new one.

If you are looking for this part, you know that it is a 4 hour + job to pull the dash and replace this inexpensive part. However! With a little research, I found how to wire this baby under the dash where the original part connects by the blower motor. 30 minutes. Works great! Most instructions include buying the right sized resistor. I used this part instead.I’m sure there are many excellent reasons to not do this. But. It works. I saved a fortune.
