The unit is a mechanical fit for my pick-up and seems to have been designed to fit many other GM applications -- likely making it almost correct for many applications.The attachment points for the OEM dash clip is feeble, but the real problems are that the dash light control range is from dim to completely off. Much more irritating is that the cab light turns on before the click stop to select it and, has turned on the cab light when the temperature changes overnight!The manufacturer insisted that there is no warranty, since they "don't sell on Amazon" despite presentations in the listing to the contrary.A locally purchased Standard Motor Products DS-374 was somewhat better, but shared the same problems.A poorly manufactured product misrepresented by Amazon and not backed-up by the manufacturer.Worse, Amazon has deducted a "restocking" charge for a part unfit for useThe better option is to get an OEM from a junker

The original dimmer switch in my 88’ Chevy had horrible corrosion and didn’t work the greatest anymore, not to mention the dull face of it. This part hooked right up and worked immediately, and I’d have to say the nice new face of the roller really brought life into the dash.

This worked and fit perfectly in my 1988 Chevrolet C1500 pickup truck. My OEM switch finally quit working after all these years. This switch was the perfect replacement at a reasonable price.
