I more than likely should have replaced egr valve 10 years ago ive been cleaning it and everything around it for years because it wasn’t that bad . It had been pretty bad past 12 months constantly clearing code because truck ran fine . Now , trucks runs and performs better than it ever has and this is a very big learning experience egr is a major part of ar least 1999-2004 ford trucks i have an 5.4 & 6.8f250 i love them and i wont be getting a new one. I also know my way around vehicles. Built not bought.

Basically does your run of the mill EGR shenanigans like it’s designed to. But by today’s standards we unfortunately have to call that a win. If you need an EGR valve and this one fits, buy it.

This was an exact replacement for my 2003 Ford E350, replacing this part me about 30mins, should have been less but removing the old one was really hard. But after that setup was pretty simple and easy. Made sure it was bolted down tightly to compress the lead gasket and my P0402 code went away. Very happy.
