There seems to be some confusion about calling this a Fuel Regulator or a Fuel Injection Pressure Damper. As far as I can tell they are one in the same. I had no problem with the installation. The part worked well.

Installed on 97 Camry with 1mzfe engine. Longer than OEM and it leaked. Returned and purchased OEM that worked perfectly.

The piece works fine but you have to re use the old washers or joints due the new ones are too wide.

I don't know if the makers improved this part, or the other reviewers' cars were just not the right models, but for older 2000-ish Toyotas no thread chasing was needed. The new part is slightly longer from the bolt shoulder to the end of the dome, but that's not critical. The old plastic cap won't fit it, but I don't think it's really doing anything other than protecting the part while the car was first made. Part fits properly in the critical areas. No "adjustment" screw which was just a leak waiting for a chance to happen on the OEM part.Works great, to make it easier to install the 2 sealing washers (one on either side of fuel tube), loosen the 12mm bolt holding the pipe to the engine. Do replace the washers, the old ones are copper 'single use' sealing washers, and new ones did come with the part.No obvious leaks yet. Much better gas mileage, and faster to start than with the old leaking one.

So far so good. Replaces the regulator that had the screw in the top for i guess pressure relief. That, was a horrible design... Gas leaking all down my girlfiend's aunts car right on the exhaust manifold. This was a hard product to find anywhere else, but works perfectly fixing that problem. Thanks

I would have given 5 rating if the metal gasket/washers were included. These are not readily available locally and some risk is assumed when reusing existing. I got lucky and mine worked. No harm, no foul.
