This is an essential part and the manufacturers know it. They also know that it fails at some point wherein the diaphragm ruptures and pours fuel into Intake Manifold. When this happens, the car is very hard to start and even if it starts it will idle rough plus you will get codes / check engine light saying DTC code P0172. What the P0172 code means is that there is too much gasoline being detected in the exhaust gases exiting the combustion chamber.The Car's ECU uses a number of instruments, such as the mass air flow sensor (MAF), oxygen sensors, and manifold absolute pressure (MAP) to monitor the air-fuel ratio of the engine. Before you start diagnostic replacement of all these parts just remove the Throttle position butterfly valve assembly and inspect that area underneath to see if gas has collected. If you see gasoline by shining a light inside the intake manifold this FPS4 Fuel Injection Pressure Sensor is the culprit as the diaphragm would have ruptured and thus pouring fuel into Intake Manifold.This original Motorcraft part failed on my old aging 2001 ford Focus after nearly 21 years of service. Which I consider reasonable considering what it does. BTW, This is a hard part to find if you want the OEM from Motorcraft. This one is the *only* Aftermarket part one can fine online and *none* whatsoever available at the local Ford Part dealers and other trust worthy parts online stores. As this is such an important part that sits right before the fuel line reaches the fuel injectors and a car does not run without it thus Standard Motor Products manufacturer knows the value and seem to mark-up the price for profit.Anyways, Thanks for reading my review. I was skeptical about ordering auto parts from Amazon again because I haven't had much luck getting the right part. This was indeed the right part and the exact part I needed. Works great! Super impressed with the part. yet disappointed because it was labled as prime but took several days before I got it

Don't make the same mistake we made. Poor reproduction, vacuum intake is only pin size when it's supposed to be about pencil size. Returned it, had to pay to ship back, several days after they received it I had to prove they received it before they would issue refund. Zero stars if I could.
