i think its due to the very small amount of metal actually showing on the end, its only a millimeter or so, compared to the stock one that has the entire top uncovered for plenty of space for the arc to jump from. also its made of steel rather than carbon like the stock one. as soon as i put the old stock rotor back in it stopped misfiring immediately.
