set base timing and with this unit you can ajust total advanced and how fast it comes in.... sadly how fast it comes in is a bit slower than i would have liked. but remember at WOT there is no vacume to make it work and the advance in the dizzy will take over. so ya will probly have to change the springs in it but that is a pain in a ford .... have fun
