I had a fairly powerful mainly plastic staple gun. I only bought this one because I thought I had lost the the first.Then I realised. The original was certainly powerful, but was right on the limit of a one handed squeeze - I usually ended up pressing hard against the surface to help me operate it, which is not ideal when the surface in question is free standing. This Stanley light duty model with a 6mm staple is more than adequate for pinning up single sheets of paper and card and much, much easier to operate. I wish I'd seen the light years ago!And an added bonus: the big'un always annoyed me because I had to fire off a staple in order to lock the lever down. Unnecessary, and just a pain making sure that you don't leave staples lying around where someone might step on them. With this one it is possible to slip the loop over the handle without launching!

Gun is fine. I paid a bit more expressly for the Stanley brand. Plenty of competitors out there! Pretty disappointed that there were NO staples with the new gun. This is a short-sighted cheap-out on their part. Jeez...the packaging cost more than a few staples. And, yea, MAYBE it said this in product description, but c'mon!
