This Stanley high temp silicone gasket maker is a good value.This fits a standard caulking gun and is reusable as long as you plug it.You can gets several gaskets out of this. Having this on hand is very helpful

If you own an RV long enough eventually you have to repair various things. This is essential for any gasket repairs you may end up having to complete. My husband likes this brand just as good as any other and was happy to have this delivered to the door in a timely manner. I totally recommend this stuff especially if you dont have a shop local to you that sells it.

This Stanley gasket maker arrived packaged well and was as described. This is a large container of RTV/Gasket Maker. It fits inside a standard caulk gun. After use I typically either insert a small screw and push some silicone around it to seal it. Or just spray a 1/4 portion of the RTV out and let it dry sealing the inside contents, so you do not waste the product.I got this product for typical car use, valve cover gaskets, oil pans etc. However when it came in I was just in the process of replacing the bearings in my washing machine. The seal tends to leak which destroys the bearings. I used a nice bead of this gasket maker to seal the matting surface of the seal and the tub itself, which is pitted and worn. This Stanley RTV did the trick. So besides automotive uses you can use it in other applications.Overall a very good product and with the size of this container, it is a really good value. Especially when compared to either smaller tubes, or aerosol types, if you use it often enough.

I have a love hate relationship RTV use on my vehicle's engine and drive train. I have been using The Right Stuff for a decade or more and the results provide 100% success when applied correctly. Key word, correctly. Almost anyone reading this knows less is more when using RTV, that and surface prep clean enough to eat off of is required for a complete seal.With all of this in mind, I recently applied this to a rocker arm cover that I had off for mechanical issues. This cover is notorious among all owners for leaking, and had been successfully sealed using The Right Stuff for a couple of years prior to it's recent removal.The first thing I noticed and has me skeptical, was the odor. The strong smell is identical to household silicone. To me this suggest more solvent in the product. I don't know if solvent shrinkage will be an issue or not, time will tell. If this had been a difficult and time consuming task, I would not have risked testing a new brand. Since it is relatively easy access and a very visible component, game on.The cost per oz is a lot less than the brand name I normally use, so if it keeps sealed as long as that other brand, it is a great buy.I will update this review at the first sign of any leakage of my valve cover.
