Screwed the pole right into the top of the concrete bolcks. I would go a little longer screw if I were to do it again.

These were perfect. With the included drill bit, I drilled into cement block and mounted the brackets. They tightened up just right. Love them.

These screws get the job done. The included bit is perfect for prepping your surface. The bit is pretty long, and I was concerned that it would break, but it's actually pretty flexible, so it was able to drill out the concrete well. The screws are of somewhat limited utility in that many poured patios aren't deep enough to accommodate the full length of the screw.

i was impressed how much better than the Tapcon I had been using, and an excellent bit, had 3 flats ground on it to prevent slippage. While the box didn't mention what size star bit it takes, there was a T30 in the box.
