Zero complaints. Absolutely love my new Raclette!!!My wife and I were introduced to raclette this past year by a French friend and her husband. I think it's awesome for when you have friends. You chat, you cook, you drink wine and everyone can cook up whatever creations they want. It's nice that those who are vegetarian are happy, people can have cheese or not, and for one party I told people to bring whatever they wanted to toss on the grill. My favorites are the potatoes with cheese, zucchini, mushrooms (pre-cook, but not completely), grilled onions (pre-cooked), and prosciutto for the cold meat.The Starfrit The Rock Electric Raclette is great. Zero problems at all. It gets plenty hot enough, so typically I don't turn it all the way up. I saw some reviews that complained about the teflon on the cheese trays coming off. I'm not seeing that issue. My only guess is that maybe people are leaving the cheese trays under the grill when they are empty??? Don't do that! The grill washes easily and it all packs away nicely.The only things I bought to use with it are an extension cord and some tongs.

Smelled electrical burning after first use. Tried to unplug and the cord was melted into the outlet. Could've been dangerous!! Will be returning.

The basic unit seemed ok, but after only one use, paint began to peel off the metal trays which hold the cheese. Not wanting paint in my diet, I returned it.

We ysed this for Christmas dinner for 6 of us! Love love love it ! And the grill is the best one I’ve ever had for cleaning. Easy peasy. I think it would be crowded for 8, but i lije the size cause it leaves room for other dishes etc on the table!! Good job starfrit!!

This is by far the most useful and versatile kitchen gadget on the planet.Comparable to raclette... only better!Better quality , easier to clean and a much better surface to cook on.I'm an extremely picky chef wanna be and this product is top notch.Only downfall, I wish I would've known about this sooner.
