Cute but a little on the flimsy side. It works for what I wanted, which is holding a sturdy, french wire-style planter basket in my NOLA inspired courtyard...my basket was made for hanging and has a little heft to it, so this is my "conversion" stand/unit. The weight of the basket keeps this in place. If I were buying to actually hold a small glass globe in my garden, I think I would only use it on a smooth surface, I don't know how sturdy it would be "in the wild" with just a lightweight globe perched on it...I would be afraid it would topple..I would give it 3.5 stars as a globe stand but that isn't an option.
