This windshield is really not tall enough for the KRX 1000. If you place it low enough to seal across the dash there is about an inch gap between the top of the windshield seal and the upper KRX crossbar.Luckily my previous windshield had a header plate that worked to help make this windshield useable.Otherwise it is easy to install once you get the protective skin off!There really needs to be a pull tab for both sides.I used some of the packing tape and tapped it repeatedly along the edge until it stuck enough to peel up a corner.

Window does not fit properly, line it up on top, there are gaps in the bottom corners. Line it up to cover the gaps in the bottom corners, the windshield is not wide enough to seal the top bar.

The price is good and installation was pretty easy. It fits well side to side but could be a little taller but does fit with proper alignment. The static electricity seems to cause the dust to stick to the windshield. Time will tell how scratch resistant it will be. I will update the review as needed. I have now used the windshield for several hours and over a hundred miles in the dusty Baja desert. I have cleaned it a few times being very careful, rinsing first with water, then lightly wiping with micro fiber cloth and mild soap solution and finally very gently squeegee it dry. So far no scratches to interfere with vision. Friends recommended GX-3 Plastic Restorer from Cristal Products to help with the dust sticking but I haven't been able to find in Baja yet.
