It held the starlink antenna steady in some high winds with the assistance of sand bags on the legs.

very easy to setup, installation to portability is super simple. comes with colored directions on a decent sized sheet of paper. the included bag holds most of the items, the actual mount for the dish is too large to fit in the bag, however once mounted on the back of the dish, you wouldn't be placing it into the bag. Recommend getting a larger carry bag/case to house all accessories.installs and sets up within a few minutes. simple to setup and tear back down. super happy with it. It is a mesh of metals and plastic parts keeping it lightweight and portable. Not intended for a "permanent" installation, but you could use it seasonally depending on the environment.

No joke, I just got this from the mail office from the RV park I am at. I receiving in time for my next move. We will be jump parks for the next week and half or so. Depending on travel and road conditions. This is a very nice sturdy stand for the Starling Gen 3. It will be great for quick set ups and take downs and the functionality to get it off the ground. I normally mount my Starling on the RV's roof access ladder. But for the quick stops we are planning, I wanted to a quick deployment and quick getaway with all the convenience as possible, while leaving the dish on the tripod. The Starlink Gen 3 mounts easily and with full intent. Sturdy and Durable look and feel. I very impressed. with the build and the protective finish. Over it fits great. Great value for the money, and it's a good option to consider.

I’m very pleased with this Starlink Mount Gen 3 Tripod Stand. It’s incredibly sturdy and does exactly what it says it will. The setup was easy, and it holds my Starlink dish securely in place. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable and durable mounting solution.

This tripod mount for the Starlink dish is light and goes together relatively easily. The material is nicely finished and doesn't have any rough edges or burrs. The dish mounts well to the top adapter which screws to the pipe. My only complaint is the bottom pipe piece which is part of the tripod stand is a little easier to move/push down on than I would like - I wish I could tighten down the bottom screw even more to have it be rock solid.Still a good value at only $30 as of review time!

I ordered this tripod stand in preparation for my upcoming camping trip, and I’m quite impressed with its build quality and versatility. The stand is very well made, using thick metal pipes that provide excellent sturdiness. Despite its solid construction, it’s not overly heavy, making it easy to carry around. Assembling the tripod was a breeze—took me less than 10 minutes, with everything fitting together smoothly. One of the standout features is the included carry bag, which makes transportation convenient. The tripod also comes with a ground spike, allowing you to secure it on soft surfaces like dirt or sand. This adds extra stability, which will be useful for outdoor setups. While my primary purpose for getting this tripod is to use it with my Starlink dish during camping, I appreciate its multi-purpose potential. When not in use for Starlink, I plan to repurpose it as a projector stand at home. With a simple adapter or platform, it can also serve as a laptop table or a sturdy mount for other equipment. Overall, this Tripod Stand is a great buy—well-built, easy to set up, portable, and stable. Whether for Starlink, a projector, or other creative uses, this tripod proves to be a versatile and reliable piece of equipment. Highly recommended!

This tripod is so close to great, but it's got some issues (sadly). We're living in an era chock full of horrible Starlink accessories. I can't believe how many weird masts, poles, brackets, adapters, and you-name-its are out there these days, and most of them are horrible. This tripod is an exception and it's very good, but somebody went a little coo-coo when they designed this one.First the good:- It's a great tripod. The tripod mechanism is solid, functional, and actually looks pretty decent. So far, so good.- All the pieces fit together. This has been a shocking revelation for me, but most of the knock-off accessories that I've tried for my Gen 3 system are horribly bad fitting, as in the female end of the mounting bracket fits onto the antenna but doesn't really fit onto the mast. Out of the more than half dozen that I've tried out, this is the first one that doesn't have a bunch of slop in the fittings. The "fittings" actually "fit". And I feel like I've been taking crazy pills if I have to even utter the phrase "the fittings actually fit".So it starts out as like a 4.89 star item, but then some of the details knock it down to 3 stars. What's wrong?- For starters, nobody needs a tripod this tall. If you need this much height, then you should consider a pole mount instead of a tripod. Nobody needs a tripod that's nearly five feet tall though, for so many reasons: it's unsteady, it's cumbersome, it takes too long to assemble, and on and on. So right away, just throw away one of the extension poles. Just for fun, I just googled the height of the satellites and learned that they're 550km above the Earth. So your extension poles aren't making a darn bit of difference.- The mounting bracket doesn't fit onto the tripod without using the extension poles. Since the birds are 550km away from us, I've ruled out extensions for getting my dish closer to the sky. I really just need a tripod for when we're camping and I want to get my dish up off the ground where squirrels will get their dusty paws on it and derpy kids from the next camp will try to use it as a jump for their bike. So I really just want to attach my dish to a mount and the mount to the tripod. But no, I have to add one of the extensions to shave off some of that 550km delta between me and Elon's birds. Hmmf.- The mount doesn't snap onto the dish. If you're very familiar with the Gen 3 dish, you know that it has two slots on the backside where mounting brackets are supposed to snap on. But no, this one requires little foam stickers and two screws. Not good. I don't want to have to find an Allen wrench to undo the screws to remove the bracket.- Angle adjustment on the mount. This is both good and bad. The factory default kickstand for the Gen 3 dish defines the angle that the dish should use in order to face the northern satellites. Presumably if you place the tripod on uneven ground, that angle would be defeated and would need to be corrected. Maybe I'm just a caveman who would rather put a stick under one of the legs to level it up, but this angular adjustment is more trouble than it's worth. The fact that it's adjustable means that you never know what the desired factory angle should be, so you just have to guess at it with this mount. Out of the 8-10 mounts that I own, this is the only one with an angle adjustment and I think it's a mistake.- Too many different screws and nuts. While I love the fact that some of the hardware has knobs and thumbscrews, it's aggravating that some of the parts require a tool.- And last but not least, their generous overabundance of doo-dads in this kit means that it won't all fit into the provided carrying bag. How insane is that? The stuff just won't fit.Out of the three tripods I own, this one has risen to the top (despite its three stars) and won the "most usable" contest. To make it usable, I've done the following:1. Threw away one of the masts (the one without the adjustment holes in it). I don't need it and it's just a source of clutter.2. Buy a bigger bag for the whole thing, because even without the superfluous mast this kit still won't fit into the bag.3. To fit into *any* bag, the mount needs to be collapsed to lie flat. Unfortunately, that means I need to reset the dumb adjustable angle every time, which is irritating and time consuming. To speed this up for myself, I took a blade and scored a mark on the mount to show where the stop should be to get the correct angle. The funny thing about this tripod kit is that the problems are all caused by the manufacturer just doing too much. It didn't need to be this complicated. If they just took their superior tripod and their mounting bracket (as problematic as it is with it's mounting screws and adjustability) and put those two things into a properly fitting bag, they would have had a 4.89 star tripod. Instead, they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and created a Frankenstein's monster with too many adjustment bolts in his neck.
