Definitely wouldn’t recommend for a customers cake unless you put something on the board since icing will leave an oily stain on the board, but they're sturdy & great price range for the amount it comes with. I added a picture i made for my birthday & you can see the board has the oil stain. Which does not come out lol

I used this to make one of those beer tower cakes with three tiers. I glued two together for each layer and it was perfectly sturdy. I think the bottom held 9 cans middle 5 and top 3. Served the purpose I bought it for!

These boards are terrible for cakes. They suck up the grease from the cake and not only look terrible they become unsturdy.

My daughter just started getting into cake baking and is currently getting practice baking for our neighbors. These cake rounds were fine for our needs, the bottom didn’t show on ours so we didn’t need to worry about absorption. These were priced well and I liked that there were a variety of sizes.

I recently purchased this multi size set of cake rounds. I just used the 10” round and it was perfect for my needs. It was durable and help up great. I actually put whipped cream down first on the board and then the rest of my cake. The board held up excellent, even after 5 days. I’m very pleased with my purchase. Thank you.

First of all, to the people leaving negative reviews/complaints: these are NOT intended to be used for displaying your finished cake and pastries!!! They are used to decorate on so you dont get your display board/stand messy while decorating and most importantly, for SUPPORT ON TIERED CAKES!!!!!They don't need to be covered in foil or anything grease-proof since these cake boards are NOT supposed to show.For example, if you're decorating a 6-inch cake, put it on top of a 6-inch board so the cardboard isn't visible; Once you're done decorating the top and sides, THEN you transfer the whole cake and cardboard over to your larger cake tier/ display board/stand and add any borders (buttercream, fondant, etc.) To cover the original plain cardboard if it's necessary.Alternatively, another option is to just WRAP the boards in just plain ol' aluminum foil or a nice decorative one if you need a display board. It's less expensive than buying them. Leaving 1 star reviews because YOU guys haven't done your research is totally unfair to the seller!Sorry for the rant!That being said, these are great and inexpensive! I'm used to going to bakery supply stores and buying each board for usually twice the price. It's always nice to have these on hand! Super fast shipping.Example pics I've included are a tiered cake and a cake that was decorated on a cake board and then placed on a display board.

I will be using this product for my wedding cake in August. I have tested one out on a small 2 layer cake and it worked out perfectly! The cardboard did not get soggy or moistened and tear so that was a plus. This one was my first time using one without a silver/ metal coating but considering the amount you get it was definitely all worth it for the pricing and I will be using these in the future!
