Quick easy swap to full size slot bracket, it came with the low profile type installed. Two screws and all set. Using as lan interface in my linux router/firewall pc. Detected with no issues and I am getting the full speed provided by my isp now. Replacing an older 10/100 nic that no longer could keep up with fiber internet speeds. Working flawlessly :)

Small form factor machine at work - network on mobo went bad. 30 seconds to order this on amazon. Got it fast. One minute install. Boot and immediately worked (win10). Super easy fix. Working flawlessly. Definitely recommend.

My only RJ45 port on my computer died, forcing me to buy this hardware as I only use WIRED connection to the internet (Not WiFi). This hardware connected with no problems to my one of the PCIe ports. It reaches steadily 325 Mbps without any problems. I don't have a 1 Gbps connection but I'm planning now to get it now, although 300+ Mbps is enough to browse the internet, see videos, etc.

This is the second time I’ve purchased, replacing Mobo-integrated network cards on two different PCs. Both times it installed in seconds and worked like a charm. Exactly what I needed and delivers the connectivity is promises.

The only complaint I have is that I had to switch out the backplane from the "short" to the "normal" length. Maybe I am old and new computers all use the short deals, but I tend to think more people have the normal size.Otherwise - installation was simple both hardware and software and best of all... It works and is fast.

I needed an NIC to work around the I219-V driver problem on windows server 2019. I had been able to figure out the problem on server 2016, but after an upgrade it was maddening. I bought this little guy and it was plug and play away. No issues at all. It comes with another metal bracket in case the low profile one can't work in your system. Simply unscrew the low profile one and screw on the regular one. Goodbye driver issues.

Usually I like Startech stuff, but this NIC isn't worth the $25. It's caused so many frequent disconnections that don't make any sense - NIC seems fine, but it's gotta be a driver issue with Windows 10. I am not sure if there is a better NIC out there, as this is not the first gigabit nic I've struggled w/ on Windows 10.

My favorite part is that there are no drivers to install for Windows 10. I powered off my PC, took the top off, put the card in, then powered it on and started it up and there was the second network card.I use this in PC that resides on two networks and it works flawlessly. I couldn't ask for anything more.

I had to install a LAN card because a storm took my motherboard's integrated one out. I chose this one because it looks less ugly than the others. It's very discreet and doesn't ruin the appearance of my rig. It's completely plug-and-play, so if you don't have an optical drive, Windows will be happy to install a generic driver for you. I haven't done much with it yet, but from what I can tell so far, performance is identical to the LAN card built into my motherboard. However, neither included mounting bracket would fit in my ATX Mid tower (Rosewill Cullinan MX). So I have to just leave a big gap on the back of my PC, in addition to avoiding any movement to keep it in place. Luckily, my desk is very sturdy, so this won't impact everyday use, but it was still a bit of a disappointment. But at least it works!Edit: As of February 2020, the LAN card is no longer working. Weirdly enough, I am choosing not to change my rating. If you look on Amazon, all of the affordable options for a basic Ethernet NIC are random no-name Chinese companies. It honestly doesn't shock me that it died so quickly. There's no "gold standard" component it seems. But they're so cheap and simple to install that I have no problem popping in a new one. I would advise buyers to purchase multiple so they're not left without Internet in case one dies.
