I bought a different one and it's fine, however with my setup I would have preferred the right angle be flipped going the opposite direction and this appeared to be correct however even though the direction changed the in and out also needed to change, just double check the pictures for in and out and direction. I was too hasty and didn't consider this plugging onto a device and the tightening screws were wrong

The Star tech 90 degree serial adapter worked nicely for our project. They seemed to be well made. We use them to interface with servo controllers in some of our aircraft tracking systems. They have not failed yet. Make sure you get the male and female sides right when interfacing with a device or the interconnecting cable/etc may not fit correctly.

Had an issue where an old dell switch was almost flush against the wall with no room to plug in a serial cable. Later that day an idea came to me of a 90 degree serial connector.To the genius who thought this up, THANK YOU!!! Worked like a charm and I can configure the switch with no problem.

Did not know they made this device. Solved a problem in my 19 in rack panel. High quality and small. You can change the direction of plugs, great.
