These are perfect for open racks when you don't want the patch panel jumper cables to stick out in front of the rack. You simply recess the patch panel and if you have a switch that is rack mounted you can recess the switch as well. This means your connections are protected in high traffic areas. They are also nice in closed racks as well so that your wires don't get squashed by the closed glass door.

This worked perfectly and saved me sending back a battery back up unit.

Fait le travail, un peu de jeu une fois monté mais rien de très choquant.Attention les vis fournies ne sont pas de la plus grande qualité et une main trop lourde risquera de « foirer » la tête !

says what it does, does what it says. you'll get some sag if you use it in extension mode, I had a spare structural support piece that I put one rackspace below my server on the backside that keeps it level.

It says it's a rack depth reducer/extender, and it does that. The only problem is that the equipment side uses rack nuts, which are a right pain. Fortunately, once you do manage to put them on you won't be bothered again. Sturdy enough for a 1G switch, and puts enough distance between the rack's back door and said switch so that I can actually cable it.

I wish I had known about these years ago. They're perfect for my custom TV cabinet server rack. I got lucky where the top two U's were clear of the metal pegs, otherwise these Z-shaped brackets wouldn't be aligned. I reversed them so my patch panel and switch can be recessed into my cabinet so my SFP modules don't bump into the cabinet door.

Using these brackets works both for extending a device out from the rack but also if you want to recess a device inside of the rack - for example a power strip.Pricy but work as advertised and I see no sag for my Switch and Router that I'm using these on.

I got this to extend one rack component out to the back a bit (I could have reconfigured the whole rack since it was length adjustable but didn't want to throw out and re-do a custom made wooden top I had fabricated for it). It works but mounting it is a bit awkward. Plus no matter how you fix it to the rack, it adds just enough thickness so that my component wouldn't properly clear the back mounting bracket anymore. Took a lot of finagling to make that happen. That's its only design flaw as far as I can see. Other than that did what it was supposed to do.

Habe damit Patchbay und Switch weiter ins Rack hinein verlegt und bekomme nun die Türe vor den Patchkabeln zu. Konnte keine Einbußen in der Stabilität feststellen. Sehr praktisch!

I used these to offset some patch panels in my server rack. They work great and help keep things looking clean. However, I DO NOT recommend putting anything heavy on these. The metal is too thin for me to feel confident hanging anything heavier than a shallow/consumer network switch
