I got these for my kids. I'm a retired athlete who excelled and went an impressive distance in track. So I'm familiar with the best of quality, from Olympic equipment to poor-quality equipment. I also know what it's like to not have any or the proper equipment at your disposal and the injuries that come with not having knowledge of equipment use. Now, with the above-mentioned and many other experiences, I'm trying to pass down some knowledge to my kids.I didn't really notice the size until I got it. The quality is okay for some athletes, especially at the level these younger generations are performing. However, I find this may not accommodate heavy, explosive, repetitive use. The foot pedal rubber is thick but seems like it will give. We are nowhere near block sessions, but I did get in them, and they're tight, so if you're taller, nahhh...Anyway, putting that aside, I think it's a neat beginner block to have compared to not having any blocks. It will teach them the basics, all they need to know. But I did go ahead and order another model with Mondo synthetic rubber, size 38.
