I needed an alternative to wallpaper for our guest bathroom so I started investigating stencils. I'm a city girl and new-ish homeowner; that is to say I wouldn't call myself handy. This? This was soooooo easy. At 5'3, I was able to place the stencil, hold it up, tape it, paint it, and move it, all by myself! It's a large stencil so I was able to do this wall in 4 moves. The other awesome thing is that they include a small section of the stencil so you can reach small spaces. This helped me get around the light fixture and right up against the wall. It also made it super simple to paint over mistakes and fix *just* that spot (see the 3rd) picture.I used it with the crane heads down because the other way looked like fancy fans (like Claudette from Beauty and the Beast).Overall, I love, love, love this product and have already recommended it to everyone I know. I can't wait to order other designs!

Very good quality money well spent, easy to clean very sturdy will last a long time, it’s a little hard to use for a first time stencil user but I used a repositioning spray I pixie repositioning stencil spray, this was the first one I’ll found so not sure how well other spray work works great doesn’t bleed and makes it so much easier and doesn’t peel the paint off when you remove it, tape it the other option but found it didn’t work great for me over all excellent product would definitely recommend this company as the quality is excellent

This turned out beautifully for our bathroom - First we used a wall liner paper, then painted over that, and then stenciled on top. You must get a separate stencil adhesive and use it liberally. It's a tough learning curve to not flood under the stencil. You really have to minimize the amount of paint on your roller. The guides on the stencil were easy to follow and having the individual piece was useful.

CAN'T JUST PAINT OVER IT LATER - which I had assumed since it's just paint. I practiced painting a sheet first onto existing wall. But when I painted over it with the new basecoat I found that that the pattern was still visible with raised outlines of the stencils . Even though stencil paint was light. Little google-ing and found that you'll need to sand down the wall to remove the stencil. 1st sanding - didn't work. 2nd w/ courser grit - still didn't work. Tried a skim coat of spackling and that made it about 50% less visible, but still needs a 2nd coat of spackle. All that repair effort for just a single sheet of stencil! I decided to abandon and switch to wallpaper. If I'm one day going to have to invest money or extensive time to repair a stenciled wall, rather just invest now in the more polished look of wallpaper. If you know what you're getting into going in - I'd say the product is great and practice sheet (pictured) was cute and easy to use.

First of all, I attempted this because I really enjoy painting, and while wallpaper would have probably been easier, I loved picking my colors and leaving certain places open (like the top of the wall where I did not want half of a bird). The stencil was very sturdy, and I had no issues with it. I think I used the corner piece more than the larger one for my needs, and I do wish I could have had some random small pieces (like half a wing or something) included in the purchase for the small spaces that I was dealing with. If I was just doing a large wall, this would have been much easier. I did hand paint a lot in the corners and I cleaned up some rough edges, but overall it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Basically, you have to really want this look a ton to get it and I wouldn't suggest trying it unless you are okay with some imperfections and wonkiness. If that bothers you and you can afford it, go with wallpaper. For me, it was worth it.

Loved it! I used 3 different colors which make the application harder than if using a single color, but it worked out quite well. The stencil arrived in a tube and I had to take it out of it as soon as I received it to prevent it from getting marked. It was relatively easy to wash it in the bathtub, but it you have a garage, it would be a lot easier. The videos that came in links with the stencil were super key to get a cleaner final look.

I ordered this hesitantly because I thought the project would look fine without the pattern details, but once it was done I realized what a difference it made to the overall piece. Stencil was a great quality and came in sturdy packaging (which it can roll back up into and be reused). The pattern is gorgeous and the possibilities are endless. The reusability is a money saver if I want to add designs to multiple places in the project, such as drawer sides or bottoms (vs. using peel & stick paper). I already have two other projects I've planned with this stencil since I loved the results on my first project so much. Next, I'm going to use plaster to add texture (rather than different colors) to the design. I can make a big impact in modernizing vintage pieces, in a way that's true to the original period. Loved this stencil. The size makes a large job so much easier. The lining up when moving is really easy and the results are terrific. I’ve used on a couple of projects and still holding up. The worst part is clean up. Which they would provide a small scrub brush with the product.
