This is a quality muffler that attaches perfectly to my HM100. It has a black finish applied to it that the original didn't. It also had some weight to it that I expect will help it last longer. I also liked that it came sealed in heave plastic bags. I would buy this again.

this muffler quieted this engine down a lot just had to get bolts because when I bought the snowblower the engine had a threaded type of pipe and small can muffler. the muffler was tooo loud and vibrated loose no matter how tight i got it with a pipe wrench...

There was not a full all-around view of this item. My old muffler did not have a bracket on the back and was a lot thinner. So when I opened this and saw that bracket I thought this may not fit. Fortunately, it was not a problem as there was enough clearance that the bracket did not interfere with anything. A little tighter getting all the covers back on (it is thicker than the old one) but after a little maneuvering, they did go back on. This is on my snowblower that has metal covers over part of the exhaust. The only part sticking out is the very end with all the holes the rest is behind these covers.

Bolts snapped off removing the old one. Ended up getting a universal muffler with pipe threads. Easier and cheaper to replace.

Appears to be good quality steel and construction. Perfect fit. -1 star for NOT shipping with lock strap -- no excuse for that.

Perfect fit for a late 70’s hm80. Not that much quieter but I feel better about it. Paint smokes a little but a definite improvement. Installed with gasket.
