This is a Kohler OEM gasket. It's an upgrade to the leaky stock gasket I removed at 180hrs. Kit has intake and exhaust gaskets along with new nuts and washer if you have a head studs. Comes with factory Kohler instructions for properly reinstalling your head.This gasket is superior to the $10 aftermarkets

Great product product. From a quantity of two damaged packages, three nuts and one washer were missing. Had I returned the package, the price would have increased three times. Fortunately for me, my model Kholer didn't use the nuts and washers.

I found a couple how-to videos on YouTube and figured out how to do the installation. The instructions with the kit are okay, but inadequately clear on how to "bleed down" the lifters. When I first started the mower up after, I was disappointed to find that I had almost no throttle. I found another video on how to calibrate the governor, but it seems to be set correctly already. I also noticed when smelled like gas in the air inlet tube in the front, which made me suspect it was a problem with too much air in the cylinders from taking everything apart, throwing off the air/fuel mixture. Anyway, the next day I was about to take it in for service, and it started right up. I guess the lifters just needed more time to bleed down. Not only did this fix the oil leak from the old seal, but the engine is no longer surging anymore. I thought that was a carburetor problem, but I guess not.

This got my Kohler 26hp v-twin running strong and stopped the oil leak. This is far more superior then the original equipment. (See picture of faulty OEM gasket)

There's not much to say here. It is what it is. All the parts I expected to be in the package were there and undamaged. They work.

Timely shipping and good product. I wish I would have ordered 2 kits, I missed that this was for one side only.Still a good deal though, and I will be ordering another set.
