This is a nice strong little motor. Using it for a coil winder project, and this was perfect!

First motor I got ended up being too big. I got this one and it fit and works great. Has plenty of power to move the spindle on the CNC machine with no issues

I love my Shark HD5 CNC (HD510) but before I buy a 4th axis, which I would build or buy a generic one since NW is way over priced, I wanted to make sure I had good control over the 4th axis card I added and could find and jog what I believe to be the right motor. This worked. Searching posts I found enough info to select this one and wire a DB9 to the flying leads. This motor worked great as a test unit and I will now buy my 4th axis from Amazon. I can throw this motor into my spare parts bin or retrofit the lathe I like to accept this motor if the one that comes with is not quite right for my driver card. You assume all risk if you go this route but once you understand the important specifications you need, this would be a good way to test things out. There is some info I can't find on the Shark so I will have to experiment with things like gear ratio, and if have to either change the position of the physical motor or change it in software, but this helped with the learning curve.

I figured that quality of these would come down to customer service. HOWEVER! - Quality of packaging is just as impressive as the motor itself. Machined surfaces are bright and great surface finish, edges are perfectly chamfered. I doubt I'll ever even find out how good their customer service is. A++

I didn’t want multiple steppers for my z-axis as they can get out of sync. My platform is fairly heavy (large and tightened to eliminate backlash). This stepper combined with StepperOnline’s DM542T driver, provides speed, consistency, high torque, and excellent precision. Very happy with the system.

These are great motors and they are very strong. I purchased 7 of these and I use them to build a prototype where these motors have to pivot an assembly by 87 degrees. They are quiet and while I had to write code to start them at low speed and increase the speed as they are moving, and also need them to release their hold every time a move is complete, they are always precise and don't miss a step. I use the to drive them and I feed it with a 24 Volt power supply. At this voltage, they pull about 1/2 an amp when holding. However, I should mention that one of them has pinched wires close to the motor but I take it this was a shipping issue and don't think I should reduce any stars for it.Also note that there is usefull information in a PDF described as "User Manual" under the heading "Technical Specification" on the If the power they offer is enough for your application, these are definetely recommended for whatever you are going to do with them.

I love these motors. I currently have 4 of them and I have had them for about six months. They work great for what i was using them for and never seemed to have a problem. Just make sure you buy the right motor driver and power supply that will actually allow enough current through to power these motors. I was using drivers that had too low current output that kept it from using its full torque capability so it kept skipping steps. I have now fixed that problem and they work like a charm.Pros:smoothvery accurate stepsno need for radial encoder with proper set up and usageCons:noneI recommend this motor to anybody that needs a strong motor for either a project or in need of some type of upgrade.
