So this really does make it a lot easier to sweep the pool. It doesn't try to float up with the resistance of the water. The thing to beware about is that it has both nylon and steel bristles. I almost sent it back because we have an above ground pool with a vinyl liner. I wasn't sure if it could puncture it, but it was fine. When I purchased it, I didn't see anywhere in the description that it had steel bristles. If your vinyl liner is old, or is not a thicker material, maybe you should look at other options. I took away a star because it is not clearly stated anywhere that it has steel bristles and for some, it could be a problem.
