I've been trying to live by stoic principals for some years now, and wanted a daily reminder. I have a silver coin with the phrase 'Memento Mori" on one side, and "Carpe Diem" on the other. But I wanted something I could carry that wouldn't tarnish and was a bit lighter. I came across this challenge coin and it is exactly what I wanted. And both phrases are meaningful to the stoic.

I do a lot with mental health in the first responder world. When I looked up these Latin phrases and saw the meaning, I knew I had to have this coin. It is a solid coin but maybe not quite as solid and heavy as some other challenge coins I have. But I do intend to carry it as my pocket piece. I wish I could get a bag full of these to give out to first responders when I talk to them.

I was quite excited to have a cool pocket sized memento to commemorate those principles. The Brigada stoic challenge coin is a cool and creative way to represent that branch of philosophy and perhaps the personal meaning it provides.I liked the design choices here with very subtle details in the hourglass design. The brushed metal alloy contrasts the darker tones surrounding the text very well which really makes it pop. I thought it would be a lot more interesting as an EDC if it had more weight to it. In that same thought it could have texture on the coin edges to make it fun to fidget with.As is, it's a beautiful coin that anyone would find interesting to have. I very much appreciate what it represents. I think some subtle improvements could be made to make it truly EDC. It’s a great durable reminder to live in the moment and to be appreciative of what we have.

This coin has high quality embossing on it and a neat subject matter. Anytime you can have a coin with a skull on it you think about pirates' treasure! The coin has decent weight for its size and a very cool color and finish. One of my favorite coins!
