Our worst tick season yet and I haven't picked up a single tick since I started wearing these gaiters. Need another pair for sleeves when I garden. I wish I had some for my dog.

Lightweight material stretches to go over jeans. Mesh is breathable. However, one walk thru some light weeds caused many spots in the fabric to develop snags and bits of debris embed into mesh. Would never hold up to actual brush. While mesh is breathable, not sure what keeps ticks from crawling thru it other that the insecticide...

easy to use, comfortable, no more bug bites around top of socks, easier/better than tucking into socks.

We have a large yard which in includes open, garden, and wooded areas. We have strawberry and both wild and cultivated raspberries patches. While I do encounter an occasional tick, the chiggers are frightful.Last year I purchased a pair of the stretch gaiters and added them to my tick/chigger repellent routine and I was a happy gardener. The reason I say the gaiters 'just might work' is because I don't use them exclusively. My prevention routine includes baby oiled limbs, treated outer ware and shoes, topped off with the gaiters - that combo resulted with only a handful of chigger bites all season - life was good. So I ordered another pair for this year. Before ordering I suggest taking a look at the LYMEEZ suggested usage chart and decide which product style you need. The stretch mesh gaiters are comfortable but aren't designed brush and thickets - they are fine for home/garden on open trails. One of the downsides of the mesh design is stuff sticks to it quite well. We have some sort of weed that produces small burr like seeds about the size of this 'o'. Well, I must have stumbled through a bunch of those plants one day because those gaiters were covered those mini burrs - picking them off was a pain.I'm only giving a 4 star rating because I can't definitively say that the gaiters are the only reason I only had a handful of chiggers bites and no ticks.

Simple but effective tick protection. Only downside is they are not sturdy and will get torn up if wearing them and working/walking in brushy area.

I'm no longer covered in ticks, but I worry about these gaiters lasting. After only one outing, they're practically ripped to ribbons by thorns. It seems to be something I'll need to replace seasonally. Since you can treat any clothing in insect shield, I hope future iterations of these gaiters are more durable. However, I like the smart design and comfort.

Thickness, warmth, and lightweightness are somewhat meaningless criteria for rating this product because it's hard to know whether thick is better than thin, or warm is better than not (don't actually want warmth during ticks season" and lightweight seems contrary to thickness. I think they are just right for what they need to do. After a run, I found I tick on my arm so I put it on the gaiter; it crawled around a bit, but then seemed to succumb to the ingredient and died right there. Of course, these are going to protect all of you, but I find ticks do tend to hand out in your footwear and then work their way up and they do not seem to be able to survive the trip up the gaiter.
