It works just like the RAM X Grip holder I have, but it's a little bit larger and has the extra knobs on the back. I really don't like the larger size, but that's not a product fault. I didn't realize the size difference when I ordered, I think this is closer in size to the Large RAM X Grip. The finger knobs on the back make it a bit easier to use. It's a good strong mount, well made, easy to use.
