There were no turnbuckles in the sealed package which are needed to tighten the cable. After now searching through other reviews, I see this happens to others as well.

I haven’t hung this up yet, mainly because it didn’t come with any turnbuckles. I know that I can just go to a hardware store and buy some but I’m wondering if this particular kit doesn’t need any turnbuckles.. but how would I get all the slack out so that it actually has tension??

Priced this out at Home Depot and this was by far cheaper and better quality off Amazon! Plus its coated to protect against the elements and comes with hardware for hanging. Well worth the price.

I'm very happy with this Stainless Steel Wire. It is excellent quality and exactly as described: Marine Grade 304 Stainless Steel Cable, 1/8inch, 7x7 construction. I plan to use it as railing / desk wire. But it is very versatile and could be used for a variety of DIY projects at my property. At 100 foot length, it is an excellent buy too.

7/7 wire is pretty much the standard for high quality wire rope. It's seven strands of wire, each consisting of seven individual strands, wrapped together to give a 7/7 configuration. I've ordered other wire rope claiming to be 1/8" that actually turned out to be 1/16" with a plastic coating that brought it up to 1/8th". This is pure wire with no plastic coating. I'll be using this wire to string between trees (with suitable protection so the wire doesn't damage the trees) to hang hanging planters on during next season's flowering time. Wire comes with 10 crimping loops which probably won't be enough but they're inexpensive to purchase. At $18 for 100' this is a great buy. My local big box store sells 50' for $20. Highly recommended.
