It hangs a little to far from the wall. An inch closer would be better.I fastened the hanger into a stud. I did not trust the plastic dry wall fasteners for an item this heavy.

Very high quality, extremely easy and quick to install, Teles and other assymetric headstocks will hang straight. So good I don't think they can be improved. I gave a 4 for sturdiness because the ones I made 30 years ago are sturdier :P

I recommend mounting this to a stud if possible. I don't trust drywall anchors with my guitars! Also, use a stud finder if you're like me. I missed the first few times. The string swing is great! Some guitars don't sit comfortably in a conventional stand.

Bought these to repace Hercules hangers when one of them failed on me. They are rated up to 15 Lbs and definitely feel sturdy enough to hold that kind of weight securely. I'd still recommend to drill into your studs for added peace of mind. I wouldn't use the anchors in drywall for heavy electric guitars. Once properly secured on the wall into your studs, these hangers feel very sturdy. Product made in America so I am very hopefull they are made of stronger steel than any of their imported counterparts. Cost is very reasonable as well.

I screwed it to the wall, stuck a guitar in it, and there it hung. Works great.

I have 4 guitars hanging in my office, and they all hang from these String Swing hangers. They look good, are easy to install, and they are very sturdy; I hang cheap, and relatively inexpensive, and rediculously expensive guitars on them with equal confidence. There are other kinds out there and my guess is they all do what we want them to do, but this is the brand I went with and I'm very satisfied.

I will keep this review short and to the point. I own many of these and keep ordering them. They are perfect for storing your guitars byhanging them on the wall. They support and hold your guitar securely, actually helping to keep the neck straight and are well padded, leaving no rub marks. They also hold guitars far enough from the wall that they don't touch the wall, a big plus. I love displaying all of my guitars in one room, looks awesome. One word of caution, Make certain to screw into a wall stud to secure these to the wall. I know people who use the drywall insert to screw into but I wouldn't personally trust them.5 stars for sure and my total recommendation.

I just needed to hang a uke in my office, and this fit the bill perfectly. I'm not worried about it damaging the neck at all, as it's got a pretty soft finish. It also holds the uke securely. I played around with swinging the instrument on the holder, just to test it, and was very satisfied with its stability. I haven't tried using this with a guitar yet, but I would feel confident about it, as long as it was mounted into a stud or used good wall anchors.
