I wasn't sure that I needed this rocking foot rest, but after using it for six months, I can really see that it benefits my seated posture and legs. I don't think the rocking motion has any benefits for me, and I could live without it, but I guess it's nice to have, just in case. The foot rest is well made. I bought a second one to give as a gift.

This is a well-built footrest and is the right height to be comfortable. The top has a very rough textured material applied. If you use the footrest with shoes, that will be fine. However, I use it with slippers or socks and it is too rough. I unscrewed one end of the footrest and turned the flat board over to the smooth side on top. Perfect now!! I recommend this product.

Very handy. My desk is a bit on the high side so to my chair at the right height for my arms, my feet weren’t quite touching the floor. This product bridges the gap and allows you to move feet and legs to keep circulation strong. Nice tread to keep shoes from slipping too.

I work in a cubicle that doesn’t have a lot of room. This fit perfectly under my desk and keeps me moving so I’m no longer stiff from sitting for long periods of time. Quality is very good and very solid. Highly recommend for work and home.

From what I can tell, this is laminated particle board. That would certainly explain the weight. It is very solid and sturdy. The foot rest rocks very easily with only very minimal resistance. The rocking is smooth and easy. The covering of the platform definitely keeps your shoes from sliding around on it. The website mentions it can handle 440 pounds, but let's be honest, who has feet that weight that much? I've heard of people driving with a lead foot, but their foot isn't really lead. So, do they mean you can stand on it? I would very strongly urge against that. This should never be used as a step stool. The platform rocks way too easily for any stability to be used like that. Yes, I'm having a bit of fun.This looks nice, does a good job of elevating your feet a little bit (which can make it a little more comfortable when sitting for long periods). It also allows you to move your feet and that also helps.The rubber feet help keep it in place when being used on wood, tile, or linoleum.On top of all of that, it looks nice. Another nice product for a fair price.

Before the fix: The top is a little too rough for me, and a dust collector, hard to clean. The board hits the bottom brace boards making a clicking sound each time. The fix: I removed end screws, turned the board over, screwed back into place. For the clicking, I added several round peel and stick felt pieces. Now no sound! I use it under my desk at work.
