Some tools are ridiculously expensive. The price of these tools is what drew me in.Granted, quality varies but I find that inexpensive tools work just as well as expensive tools with a little love and care.These are perfect for beginners and while these are not the sharpest tools, if you have the time and patience to sharpen these they work wonderfully for any potter.

For the money, they are really good. Went to a Pottery store recently. Cost of one tool there was sane as this whole kit. Yes, I'm sure the good one is better, but shelling out about $80 for equal amount of tools. I drive a Toyota, not the Ferrari I'd prefer. Same thing. Fir me, the tools work great. Do I wish i had the pro stuff? Of course. Am I good enough that I'd even notice a difference? Probably, I'd like to think. But for me, pottery is just a hobby I enjoy. So, if you are throwing once or twice a week, and trimming about same...they are great

Glue detached metal ends from wood dowels pretty quickly. I guess I'll try to fix with better glue?

This product was not only cheap, it was not put together well, the edges were not Sharp. wasn't worth $2.Do not buy these ever, this company good pay me $6.99 just for the aggravation and waste of time.
