I liked the fact that they were the right size to melt for what I needed them for.

We used these a couple of days ago, fishing off a private pier down at San Leon, TX. They worked perfectly -- NO complaints. We do lose a lot of these sinkers -- getting hung up on Oyster Shells -- so I have already ordered another box. Ten grams = 3/8 Ounce, which is perfect for our needs.EDIT -- March 20, 2024 -- I'm ordering my 3rd box of these 3/8 Oz sinkers. I'm finding that the 3/8 Oz is perfect for most applications, up until the wind gets to really blowin' and whitecappin'. We like to fish right on the bottom with Shrimp and a tight line, but when the wind gets up to 13-15mph it tends to blow our line sideways, and will start to drag these weights along the oyster shells, getting us hung up. Time to head for the hacienda, or start using a 1/2oz weight.

Can not secure to hook shaft, as weight hole is too small.

I don't mean they cast cleanly. I mean that the folks who cast the lead in molds do so cleanly so there are no ridges and the line holes are open - not obstructed - like some weights.
