Hex nut didn’t like the bolts threads so had to buy new hex nuts. Once tighten, it shifts a tiny bit downward, but no more after that.Can support weight of me pushing down on it (not full strength), but should be strong enough for gun or arm to rest on.

The material was nice and light weight, but it moves up and down even when I tighten it very tight. And yes the bolts and washers were installed correctly to the T! It starts to squeak when you tighten it very tight. Had to return it.

This product is a great add-on to the tree climber that Summit puts out , putting this product with the tree climber makes the hunter twice as capable of getting what they are hunting for.

After 1 season of light use the mounting bracket broke. I contacted the company and attempted to purchase a new bracket but I was told I would have to buy the entire rest for $59. When I bought this product I expected better quality. It’s a great design. Built of the cheapest materials available. Mounts are some kind of pot metal and did not hold up to normal usage. KEEP YOUR MONEY! Don’t waste it on this!!

I added this to my Summit Viper Ultra SD. It was simple to install.Some of the reviewers complain about the cheap/weak brackets. I did find when you rest your gun or bow on the rest it gives a little, but nothing to significant. I wouldn’t hang a heavy pack or put your full weight on it.When ascending and descending the tree I lower it and climb like normal. So far so good.

This just came in the mail today. I installed it on a non summit treestand with no issues. Instructions are pretty self explanatory. After I got it on and tightened up I have the bar a couple good pushes and it didn't go anywhere. Don't use the bar to sit on, but it is nice and sturdy for the gun. Can't wait to put it to the test in November.
