These rims are essentially apocalypse-proof with the right wheel build. In my case I'm using DT Swiss 350 Hybrid hubs along with DT Alpine spokes. On the pictured cargo bike (the MTX39 wheels are on it in the picture) I reach a total system weight of over 450 lbs when I am wobbling my way home from Costco with full 154L (pair) panniers in back, the 36" top rack duffel loaded up and a pair of XL rolltop panniers on the front rack. I have no concerns about the wheels giving out with that load.The one regret I have is my own fault. I did not realize that both the DT350 Hybrid hub and this MTX39 rim come in 36H. While I have Ridiculous Strength now, Ludicrous Strength would have been nice too.
