I had to go to the hardware store and purchase the scress. The plastic part was there and does work well but having to go buy the rest of what I ordered was very frustrating.

This is super solid piece for a replacement. It only took 5 minutes to put on, but totally does the job holding the mirror in. Went to see how much it would cost to replace the visor because the hinge broke , 300 this cost 20 well worth it.

This is the part I needed that works correctly. The plastic pieces fit properly. You need to squeeze with some force to get it to snap around the shaft. Once it's on, it slides up over a slightly thicker part of the shaft just before the flange. It fits snugly over that section, which prevents the visor from swinging freely when you need it to be at the side window. That snug fit is what the aluminum product lacks and what makes this product the right one (I tried both).Like others said, the screw is a wood screw and should be a pan head style instead.Well worth the money especially compared to the cost of a brand new visor!
