23mm socket, not usually with a mechanics set. I required one for a lift stand (made in China) to use a cordless driver to speed up the lift (motorcycle). I also ordered a hex to 1/2 inch adapter tool.This socket works exactly like a socket. I don't know if it will hold up to everyday heavy duty use. My application only requires lifting a motorcycle. Inexpensive. Amazon 2 day Prime.

Granted, it's only used occasionally, but this socket seems to be a quality tool.I bought this to make installing/removing the receiver bolt for my trailer hitch bike rack (it uses a threaded bolt with cotter pin instead of a regular non-threaded pin).I use it with a cordless drill via an adaptor, and it works great.
