Needed for trans r&r. Medium depth works transmission bolts and exhaust removal where access is a problem. Don't waste your time(and gas)looking for one around town. Most are too deep and won't work.

I am a mechanic and I use tools on a daily basis. I have expensive tools and not-so-expensive tools. For the price of this 15mm swivel socket you can't beat it. I had one that broke the pin. I just beat the collar down, replaced the pin, and it is as good as new. These sockets last for a couple of years with daily use. That's not bad for the price.

As another reviewer stated, you NEED this to remove the top bolt/stud from an LS bellhousing. On my 4L60E removal I tried everything - three foot extensions and univeral joint adapters just wouldn’t cut it. With a universal joint the socket is too unstable to force onto the bolt without guiding by hand, which can’t be done unless you have really tiny hands. With this socket I had it out in two minutes. I’m going to add a few more of commonly used sizes to my collection. Going with Sunex because the bang for the buck is unbeatable.
