The statue and base are quite drab out of the box. The statue is a dull, medium grey. The base was all dark brown. Before setting up the fountain, I spray painted the statue with a copper colored paint. I hand painted the base black. When they were dry, I used gold paint and black paint and brushed it quite lightly and randomly all over the statue. I added gold to the base. I added a few crystals as well. I really love the finished piece! Very happy! The fountain is pleasantly quiet and you can hear the water just enough when you move the switch on the pump to one click above the minimum.

For the price this is an excellent little fountain perfect for ambient sound. While the body is plain in coloration one could not ask for more considering the price. I simply added seashells that do not obstruct water flow. The pump is extremely silent and I hope it lasts.

Love this,big enough for my Meditation table,so pretty,relaxing sound of the streaming water...just loud enough for me....don’t know how the sound is if your hard of hearing,but more me,it’s perfect....relaxing at bedtime....helps to de stress and bring me a peaceful slumber!!!

I will start with a positive about the seller. They were good about communication and getting the refund back. As far as the product goes the one I received was very cheaply made. The base really had no color. I was expecting it to be like the pictures. As far as how it functions. I didn’t get that far because I was so disappointed in the look of it. I immediately sent it back. Now the most frustrating thing was the cost of shipping it back. I attached the picture. It was $18.20! I could hardly believe it and honestly the quality of the fountain is maybe $20. I really don’t like leaving a bad review. But this was my experience so I felt I had to share it.
