The mic holder is good, but the mic wind screen is HORRIBLE. It appears to be made from 2 pcs glud together and to short for a SM58 mic. Also it is flat not round, piece of junk, now have to go to Guitar Center and buy a professional one. Why can't amazon sell better quality products?

I needed a shock mount for my microphone that I use to record podcasts & videos. That microphone happens to be a SM 57 I had from my studio days. (Yes, I know...most people doing podcasts want the big fancy-looking microphone like all the podcast gurus recommend. I was not going to spend a little money for a cheap mic that "looked good" or a lot of money for the same mics other podcasters are using when I have literally a dozen 57s in my kit.) I found this mount and it was exactly as described. It came with a foam windscreen that fit perfectly on my mic and mounted with no adapters on my boom arm. The mic is cradled perfectly and I can position it wherever I need it. An inexpensive solution for slim-bodied microphones. I highly recommend.

I like the design. The locking screw teeth were filled with aluminum filings. I had to drill out the threads and replace the setup with a twist lock with stainless bolt, washer and hex nut. As it was the assembly would not lock the holder position.Gerry

I bought this for my microphones I use for my arm clamps of the desk. It's really useful and whenever I hit the desk, the vibrations don't go through it and it surprises me. I also use it on the microphone stands when I record vocals and no vibrations from around the stand. It's a really GREAT value for the money, it's cheap and very durable. It comes with an extra band if in case you lose one and you can easily put it in with no issue. The versatility of this mount is great with no hard work, it's really easy to use. Overall, amazing for the budget for any musician.

Buscando un shock mount para mí SM57, me di cuenta que no hay muchas opciones para este modelo en específico (y el original de Shure es muy costoso y escaso) por lo que decidí buscar para el SM58 que comparte muchas similitudes, así que me aventure a comprarlo, además que el precio está increíble. Es fácil de instalar, por medio de un mecanismo de presión, y con foam en el interior para no dañar el micrófono, incluso se le puede retirar las palancas que se usan para la instalación. La construcción es de metal, es color negro mate que queda muy bien con este tipo de equipo, los cordones suspensores son algo rígidos pero cumplen su función.

I ordered these for my son's podcast setup. They are pretty nice. The only thing to be mindful of is if your microphones have an on/off switch but it doesn't bother us so. Good product.

This is a great way to make an SM58 or similar mic look good on a podcast or online class. BTW an SM58 can be a great podcast mic.
