The purple ones were a lavender purple. I was surprised how light in color it was. It still did its job as being easy to wear and reflective. I will definitely get this again.

I got a pair of these in grey as our family of 4 like to go bike riding together. My husband and I already have bright yellow reflective safety vests so we used these for our kids (8 and 9 yrs old). These are very adjustable, and they worked on our kids on the shortest setting, albeit somewhat loose. But they could also be adjusted to fit a large adult. I like that they're lightweight and you can wear it over your clothing. I kind of wish I got them in a brighter color instead of the grey so you can really spot them so if I could make any recommendation, I'd say the brighter the better. We tried them on a ride the other day and as it was nearing sunset/dusk, I was expecting them to be much more visible. But you can really only see it when light catches the reflective strips.

I got this because it is getting hot outside and I’m walking the dog later in the day. Easy to use and see. Good idea if you live in a busy area and also just want to be safely seen.
