Spring seat posts are an alternative to the spring-loaded rear wheel, which lowers the saddle well when sitting on. While driving, the seat height changes only slightly.
The high-quality seat posts give you noticeably extra comfort on uneven surfaces.

Amazing suspension seat post makes hitting bumps a lot better on my ebike basically will replace a rear suspension so if your bike only has a front suspension or no suspention this will help you a lot, don’t assemble it backwards like I did, i thought it wasn’t working and was about to return it but just realized I had assembled the seat to the post facing backwards and it wasn’t working properly. So once on properly very great feel to it and easy to adjust the strength for different weight people.

This has completely eliminated the back pain I was experiencing. I got a Ride1Up LMT'D V2 and had some back pain on longer rides. I can't believe I didn't know suspension seat posts were a thing. This should be everyone's first upgrade for a hardtail ebike.Don't get me wrong, you still feel bumps. You know you went over a bump or uneven pavement, but that harsh impact is gone. You can still feel what's going on under your cheeks but that shockwave no longer travels from your booty all the way up your spine. It seems like a really well built piece. It doesn't feel or look cheap. A proper unit indeed. It does add some height and move the seat aft, so take that into account upon installation. If you're a shorter rider already maxing out your bike like me the added height is definitely something to be aware of. Luckily with the seat all the way down my geometry is pretty much perfect. The internet says these start to squeak after a while. It comes with instructions for maintenance and lubrication, so read that and do the maintenance.. Also invest in a cover to keep dirt and water out to prolong the time between maintenence events.Tl;Dr I would buy this again for every bike I ever owned. It's a steal compared to its competitors at two or three times the price. Based on other reviews, this offers 90% the performance of others at 1/2-1/3 the cost.

I discovered the Suntour NCX suspension seat post tube on Amazon and holy $@&t! It has made cycling so comfortable and enjoyable for me. I am pain-free in the tailbone and lower back area after 20+ mile long rides now! Well with a bad back you are never pain free but the pain does not get worse due to long bike rides now. I ride an asphalt trail and I know every bump and crack on the path. Now I don’t have to avoid the bumps I used to avoid. I just roll over them with no issue or discomfort to my back/tailbone area. The suspension takes care of them. This upgrade was like the difference between sleeping on concrete versus sleeping in a luxurious bed! Also there is very little maintenance to the Suntour post, once in a while you wipe it down then spray it with lube again. There is no bleeding fluid lines or complicated systems! Now I know why cars have suspension, for comfort, now it makes sense why car suspension gets better and better over the years, for more comfort! With no rear suspension on a bike, your spine is working as the suspension, taking and absorbing all the bumps in the road, aggressively hammering your tailbone and vertebrae up and downThere were other seat post tube options, but this one in particular had a 4.5 rating and 7,000+ reviews. Also the way it looks/design is different and stood out from the other options I was considering. What really sold me was a YouTube video of a guy who had a camera pointed at the Suntour seat post while he was riding on it and it looked like exactly what i needed. If the price of getting a suspension seat post tube at around $100 is too much for you then your back pain isn’t even close to bad and that’s a good thing! Be grateful for your back health! Those with real back pain will pay anything for relief. If you have back problems but want to enjoy cycling mostly pain free then buy it! I am not a paid shill but I wish I was so I could get paid for every suspension seat post tube that is sold because of this post, if any.Hopefully this helps those out who aren’t having as much fun cycling as they could be because of a bad back! Cheers mates yeww 🍻 🤙

This suspension post is excellent. It no longer has brass bushings - they are stainless steel and I def have the newer version. I believe it will be just as good and probably exactly the same. At £75 ish it’s actually at the low end of price for one of these and it’s worth every penny. I also have an eesilk but that’s for my road bike. This bad boy is big and heavy and if you ask me is ideally suited to an E-bike hard tail, steel framed city, or anything where an extra kilo doesn’t matter.Really works, very happy.

I ride a Fat-tire E-bike. It's a cruiser style that's very capable of moderate trails and therefore bumpy terrain. It's front suspension is great but with the Suntour SP12-NCX my ride is much kinder to my rear-end as I didn't want to go any larger on the seat as it can get in the way a bit descending more technical trails.I did order the heavier spring as I'm 190#. This Suspension post moves the shock-absorption motion to down and rear-ward, a superior design incorporated in highly regarded, much more expensive products (such as Thud Buster). By going heavier-duty I was able to get full function and keep my seat position to the back of the bracket on my seat which gives me the best geometry and fit. In attaching my seat at this the leverage (and stress) are at the greatest so having the heavier spring allows the suspension to behave similarily to a less-lever effected forward mount position and a lighter spring. Basically, seat-rails allow for about 4" of front-rear adjustment which changes the geometry of both your bike and any suspension seat-post.Be aware of the minimum extension from your seat-post tube top and seat bottom. The suspension uses about 4" so that would require that your minimum extension now must be at least 4". The Seat-Posts diameter is absolute. Look at your current one, usually the size is imprinted at the bottom. If you must 'shim' to get a proper fit, I suggest the Cane Creek shims as they're around $12 and made of aluminum - really top quality. My post was 30.4 MM: don't think a 30.9MM will fit! I got the 27.2MM post size and a shim. Makes for a very nice, sung and safe fit.If you don't need a seat-dropper but want some ease in your ride, this Suntour Sp12=ncx is a top-choice. Longevity due to design and build materials appears to be good. It is a quality, worth-doing upgrade. Comparable to the Thud Buster and others at up to $250 the value is really excellent.I wish you fun, safe riding!
